Current journal and mailart

I am excited to be working on my first ever piece of mail art and it's going all the way from the southern tip of Africa to the west coast of America. I've finished some of the stuff that's going inside, and now I want to start working on the envelope. I've been staring at this huge white, blank envelope, and frankly, it's scaring the hell out of me. What to do, what to do, what to do? Should I paint it first and then stick on the patterned papers and other collage elements, or should I just collage first and paint after? Hmmm...decisions, decisions, decisions. Oh well, what ever happens at least I'll have fun doing it. And, if I don't like it, it's not a train smash, there is more than just one white envelope in the world - I can start over.

Yes!!! I really had fun with it. The envelope was the biggest challenge for me, but fun once I got started. It was a lot easier than expected once I had glued down the first peice of paper. What I really enjoyed was deciding what to put inside the envelope, and then making it and putting it all together.
