I love all the vintage stuff what a cool store. I wish i had one like that here. Thanks for the picture tour....
You WILL find your voice. I felt the exact same way about 6 or 7 years ago. I didn't want to mimic others I wanted to be ME. This was before there were zillions of blogs to look at. I stopped looking at other journals completely. I stopped using all images except MY own. I threw some paint around and wrote over everything. I know you will find your way because you are searching for something AUTHENTIC. You aren't interested in mimicry. You want to find your own way. Some visual journalers aren't interested in being original. Like sponges they absorb everything and everyone else's style. That's okay too. All forms of creativity and expression are valid. But, I admire your effort and angst to make something that is uniquely YOURS.
