Flashback

These images are from a 1993 copy of Italian Vogue I recently found. The 70's in it's early 90's incarnation. It seems the 70's just never go out of style. This is 70's "patchwork/clashing patterned fabric" style glammed up with the brassy flash of the early 90's. Similar but different to the 70's patchwork/peasant style dresses out this Spring by Marc Jacobs, Tibi and Anna Sui. The 2007 Spring 70's look is looser, more toned down and down to earth. Early 90's was more about glamour and acquisition. Now the image being conveyed is all about down-sizing, being more natural, more environmentally aware.
