Amy Butler
I am totally in love with "Mid West Modern" by Amy Butler. Before reading her book, I had always liked what I had seen on her website and other people's blogs, but I had no idea she had this much incredible inspiration to offer. Firstly I really like her fabric design, I also love the decor combination of vintage and new, in a fresh, uncluttered way, but what I really enjoyed about the book is the way she incorporates elements from nature in her decorating in a very special way that adds another dimension of warmth and beauty to the home. And I have to say, I adore her clothes too - fabulous patterns and vintage inspiration. The book includes chapters providing ideas for the different areas of the home, as well a section on accessories like throws, slipcovers etc and a section on clothes. Also interesting is to learn more about Amy Butler and how she works. Right now, I'm off to curl up in a cozy corner (since its dark and rainy outside) with a cup of coffee, and my copy of Mid West Modern, I have lots more inspiration and ideas to soak up:)

I think I've just found another book to add to my birthday wishlist! I am off to her sight now!
I love her fabric, and I've just ordered that book! Can't wait to get my hands on it!!
Just had a talk with Amy and she offers a little insight to producing her new book "Midwest Modern". Read her interview with me at: urbanprairierefueled.blogspot.com

The book looks great and I do hope you enjoyed curling up with that cup of coffee! ... Thanks for your comment on Alison Fowler, too, btw. I agree, the poppies are lovely!
Yes, she is absolutely fabulous. I want pretty, happy, clothes, too.
Amy is amazing. Love her style!
That second picture has to be the world's most perfect room. And that floor, I'd be waxing that floor all day just for fun. Amy Butler is so talented.
yip, love her stuff. Actually have a pattern or two of hers that I got from 'decor8' (but no sewing machine (!) ) that is something I'm still to attempt!
She is incredible talented. I love that book too. I spent hours looking at it the first time I put my hands on it.
I'm ready to "Butlerise" my entire house - now all I need is the budget:)
I love Amy too! She wrote a book a few years ago called Found Style. I'm not sure if it still in print, but if you can find it, its great. One of my all time favorites.
Beautiful! I especially like the shot of the living room, with all the plants and driftwood on the coffee table.
I feel the same way - love the quote from her book on art and life.
