French Macaroons
A short while ago, Corine from the fabulous, bright and colourful blog Hidden in France did a post about the French confectionery and bakery Laduree and the delicious macaroons they make there. This got me totally intrigued because I have never had a macaroon before and have always wanted to taste them ever since reading about The Famous Five eating macaroons when I was a child. So I was quite delighted to come across a jewellery shop in France called The French Factory that makes these really cute and quirky pieces that include a whole range of macaroon jewellery. Those are really cute. I never had tried a macaroon either. In fact I didn't even know what they looked like until now.
Hey there, it's so sweet of you to mention my blog. Macarons are heaven on the tongue and under your teeth but not not all Macarons are created equal. They must be consumed Fresh at a handful of shops in the world; none of them in the U.S. I hope you have better luck in South Africa. : )
So cute! Looks really delicious!
I'm a sucker for a piece of 'sweet' jewellrey - spotted some minature cupcakes and a teeny tiny fortune cookie made into pendants. I'll have to search my esty links to find the artist who made them...
Okay confession time. I consumed Secret Seven and Famous Five books like madman..okay well I was a boy but you get the point. I don't remember the Famous Five books too well but I read The Magic Faraway Tree. I wanted to sample the sweets dreamed up in that book so badly.
i luv macaroons -- they're just so pretty! =)
