By hand

I'm loving this hand lettering by Chris Piascik. I like to do hand lettering on my journal pages. It's nice to get inspiration from what other people are doing. Some people might call it copying, but for those of us who are self taught with the internet and books as our only teachers, it's a great way to learn new things - and eventually your own style does start to emerge.

"copying"...There really is nothing new under the sun-"ownership" of an artistic expression is mostly insecure ego cravings for recognition. We are teachers and students here on this Blogerific planet, sharing beautiful ideas. The more copying of those, the better! Besides, hand copying a hand done is likely to produce variance anyway because none of our hands are exactly alike. It is the snowflake diversity thing...
LOVE YOUR BLOG MS. Bronwyn

I'm so glad you posted this Bronwyn! (Also Linda Sue's comment). I feel I have just started exploring my creative side, and I do need inspiration and 'show-how' from other sources, but I feel so guilty sometimes when I see an idea like a journal page or a drawing and want to use elements of it, that I often don't! But I think as long as it is for my own use and I don't sell it, it is okay. And I do think that eventually I will establish my own 'voice'!
