Dance with me.....

I don't usually post music on my blog, and it's not something I plan to make a habit out of, but I wanted to share this. I am totally in love with this song and with this video at the moment. It makes me happy and I hope it'll make you happy too. Also, I think it's just such a stylish little video, it reminds me of the French cinema of the sixties, and I think that if you enjoy my vintage photo posts you'll probably like the video. The song is "Dance with me" (it's a remix) by the band Nouvelle Vague.

Aaah, I always loved this little gem. It reminds me of a cold, wet England, where I lived when I saw it first. Her voice is like butter.

Actually no, it's not "stylish", those three are famous (ahem...in France...) actors of the "French cinema of the sixties" a period also called "nouvelle vague"...

Awesome! YES it worked! I am so happy now that I think I will curl my hair! Thank you for getting September off to a GREAT start! It can be such a melancholy month in the north. That was FUN! Thanks again!

Ooooh so lovely, I definitely felt the urge to get up and dance along. I agree with Ruth that it has a bit of a Pink Martini thing going on, which I love. Had never heard of Nouvelle Vague though (not too "down with the cool kid's music" me!) so thank you for sharing this! :)

Oh yay, French Cafe line-dancing!! Yes, it feels like a Godard / Truffaut / Lelouche film, doesn't it? I love the style, it makes me want to put on a hat and start snapping my fingers, but not in a Liza Minelli way ...

merci for the post! loved the french, the song and throw back to old french cinema {cause you're totally right of how it has a bit of that vibe}.
