African voices
This post is something completely different to the usual topics I come up with, but I hope you will indulge me. A friend of mine is doing media training for a group of teenagers from various African countries. The teens belong to the Regional Interagency Task Team on Children and Aids (RIATT) and they will be taking part in a conference in Tanzania in September. I was asked if I could donate some time to putting together a blog for the kids and giving them a little talk about blogging. They are all hugely excited about the prospect of becoming bloggers. It might be difficult for them to all blog regularly because they don't all have easy internet access in their home countries, but they will definitely be doing their best to post, and will be blogging regularly during the conference.
Here are the teens taking part:
Teboho from Lesotho
Kelvin from Tanzania
Keneuoe from Lesotho
The blog is here, and if you do happen to have a spare moment, please drop by and leave them a comment, I know it would really make their day.
Have a fab weekend!!!

What a worthwhile project to be involved in! I feel that blogging is so fantastic - it gives us all a voice. I popped into their blog and left a comment ...
