Kenzo love

I have a burning need to be let loose inside Kenzo Maison with a very expensive giftvoucher. If I have a fairy godmother out there I hope she's listening.

It's Swedish

I very much like the range of products available from Swedish design house Svenkst Tenn. Svenkst Tenn has been around for 80 years and their textile pattern designers have included such greats as Josef Frank and Estrid Ericson. They provide fabrics as well as wallpapers and other furnishings and home accessories. They also do interior design. A full product range is also available from Liberty in the UK.

Jezze style

South African artist, fabric designer and knitter, Jesse from Jezzeblog is a woman of many talents, and she has been printing the most amazing fabrics. I absolutely love her designs and colours. The good news is that you can buy her fabrics from her Etsy shop. It's interesting to read up on her blog about the printmaking techniques she uses. I also like the way her designs have a South African feel without being too parochial, I think they have universal appeal. I think Jesse will definitely be someone to watch!

Amy Butler

It really is a small world out there. I've always loved Amy Butler's designs, and I was pleasantly surprised to receive an email from Nan Steyn who works with Amy. Nan used to live in Johannesburg for a while some time back, and she and I were at the same university at round about the same time and used to hang out in some of the same places.
