Something for Paris

Sometimes the world of design gets a little ridiculous. Take this ring from 20ltd for example, it's not bad, nothing spectacular in my opinion. I might buy something like this for fun, to wear every once in a while if it didn't cost me too much. This particular ring however costs a whopping 9800 British pounds (hmmm, don't seem to have one of them pound symbols on my keyboard). Okay, it does have some yellow gold in there somewhere among all that enamel, and it is one of a limited edition of twenty. Also, we are assured it is designed by Solange Azagury-Partridge who's work is the preferred choice of Paris's most discerning stars....but, well, sheesh!!! Maybe I'm just a pleb having never heard of Solange whatsit-whatever, and maybe I just don't get the importance being one of only twenty people to own a lot of enamel with a bird and a bee on it. I'm happy to leave such things to the Paris Hilton's of the world :)

Ring heaven....

I mentioned my ring fetish in a previous post and I have just stumbled upon the most deliciously awesome blog solely devoted to rings. If you love rings as much as I do, you haven't lived until you visit the Carrotbox. Seen here, lace rings by Goldmiss, acrylic rings with resin accents by Laura Richards, and recycled wood and bakelite rings by Amanda Loos of Kyyote.

Super cool

I love these rings by Soop. While some women can never have enough shoes or bags, I am a complete ring person, and a girl can NEVER have too many rings! This is The City Farm, there are eight different rings, including goats, chickens, pigs, cows, trees, sheep and a fox. The rings can be layered to form different farm scenes. Super cool! Update: Just found another pic. Also, the rings will be available from Etsy on November 30th (via DYH)
