Unusual

Gilles Eichenbaum makes these unusual lamps and pendants out of found objects. The website is in French so I can't tell you anything about him.

Chandeliers and shoes

Something different - crochet chandelier by Erin Weckerle. She also runs a clothing boutique called Sodafine in Brooklyn, I love the shoes most of all.....I think I might be in serious danger of becoming a shoe person!

Lamponi lamps

Lamps by Italian designer Maurizio Lamponi Leopardi. They're both fun and retroliciously stylish :) Found at Ideas Magazine.

Shoal 284

This light, designed by Dominic Bromley looks very interesting to me. It's called Shoal 284 and is available from Within4Walls in the Uk. From their website, "Each fish is originated from a delicate sculpted work in clay and reproduced in fine bone china in the potteries in North Staffordshire, central England. The natural translucency of the bone china body allows each fish to radiate with the hue of the light it circles. Shoal 284, as its name implies, is made up of 284 unglazed bone china fish, strung by hand around a central beam of light and suspended from a chromed steel circular frame."

Some Scandinavian living

These are some items that stood out for me at The Scandinavian Design Centre store. 1. Laquered steel Mistletoe magazine holder, I think the pattern's general enough to use all year round, not just at Christmas. 2. Flower stools made from cold foam and designed by Eero Koivisto. They also come in black and white. 3. Candy kitchen towel and aprons designed by Lotta Glave - love the colours and pattern! 4. Takeaway lamp made from fibreglass fabric and designed by Sigurdur Gustafsson -I want it!

Bird Lamp

I totally love this lamp. It's available from Wisteria and is called the Translucent Bird Lamp - what else? (via Ma Vie en Rose)
